Introduction

We are "Group P005" of the Europe @t School Project. Our team includes students from Turkey (Galatasaray Lisesi), Romania (Tudor Vladimirescu Highschool) and Poland (II LO im. M. Konopnickiej).

We have chosen the title of our work as "The Evidence of the Past and the Clue of the Future of Democracy".

Through achieving this project, we better understood that democracy itself is an improving process. Improvement has started years ago and is still continuing. What we have explored in this project is the fundamental elements of democracy that have improved up until now. Through our attempts to understand the past, we were able to predict about future.

We distributed the topics among ourselves and established a communication network that allowed us to be constantly in touch with each other. We explored different sources of information. We benefited from several universities, libraries, foundations, professors, historians as well as several conferences.

By the help of this work, we recognized the differences in civilizations, democratic structures as well as the common points among our cultures. This has proven to be an occasion to express ourselves, and our expectations from our common future.

Furthermore, we established a real friendship that helped us to create a perfect teamwork. We would like to thank to "Europe @t School" organization for giving us the chance of working together.
